Website

My website ----- www.kirstymaclean.co.uk ------ is officially on the internet.

Although I still need to update the bloomin' thing and get it ready and raring for my final major project, it is definitely something which has been needed to be done for a long time!

The 'about me' section is one which is constantly changing, and the current project is now a past project, but these are all things which can be sorted out.

So keep your eyes peeled, as there will be more work added!!

The Northern Art Prize

On display at Leeds City Art Gallery. This years exhibition contains work by the shortlisted artists Pavel Buchler, Nick Crowe and Ian Rawlinson, Rachel Goodyear and Matt Stokes.

I thought the work displayed was really interesting, challenging and held a huge amount of plausibility for future artists to express their thoughts and emotions in bigger and newer ways.

The winner, Pavel Buchler, has managed to use a variety of materials and mediums to create something which is truly mind boggling and allows the audience to interact with the art, and really attempt to deconstruct it. As a group, we enjoyed discussing how the artist had produced the work and considering other surrounding ideas, whilst also observing how the whole exhibition had been put together in preparation for our FMP!

Website & Business Card

My first task within my Final Major Project is to create my own brand for not only myself, but also for my business. If I am able to form my own brand which runs through my website, business cards, and for other possible items, then I can set up my own personal identity for my potential business. Also, by appearing as professional as possible, I will be able to secure more potential clients for my portrait element within my FMP.

It is these two initial elements I will work on for the next two weeks.
